The owner of the company requested a logo for his marble supply company. The client desired a straightforward logo that conveyed the business’s focus on marble.
My research focused on:
1. Global and regional marble companies’ branding.
2. Variety of marble materials.
3. Most popular and engaging colours that symbolise the firm and inspire confidence from customers.
During the logo design process, I envisioned a marble-like shape with rounded edges. The smooth, shattered form should be coloured differently for various construction materials.
Various hues of black and brown were selected to create a professional and trustworthy colour scheme.
The complexity of the company’s name made it difficult to construct the text and initials, which were inspired by marble slabs. Using Adobe tools, I created a new font inspired by a baseline font to solve the issue.
I also designed the client’s letterhead, packaging, and business cards. Since the client did not have a marketing staff, I designed a brand kit guide containing multiple colour schemes, fonts, and logos for future use.
It was rewarding to collaborate with the company’s owner to transform the concept into a design, expand my knowledge of marble material, and go above and beyond to provide a branding kit for future use.
